Palaeobotany

Our research into the field of paleobotany has focussed primarily on Triassic floras from the High Arctic. During the Triassic, Northern Canada was at approxiamtely 30 to 45 degrees south, and experienced a tropical climate. This climate allowed for the developmnet of lush forests, dominated by now extinct or relict groups, such as pteridosperms, cycads and Bennetitales.
